How to Pledge
Even the smallest acts can make a big difference, though as emphasised throughout this website, it’s not always possible individually to stand up. This is why If We Act promotes Collective Upstandership and action, asking leaders in business, establishments and other communities to help facilitate change. Click one of the buttons below to add your pledge (vote) for what act you will take to help make the world a safer place.
There is not one magical answer for all these questions but rather myriad ways small and large to change things for the better.

If We Act will not ask you for any money through this website or movement. Please do not send funds to any organisation claiming to operate on If We Act’s behalf.
Have a cuppa and a conversation
Pledge to have a chat over a brew about why this conversation matters with friends, family or colleagues. You might use talk about the differences between sexism and misogyny or what an ‘enlightened society‘ might look like for you, as a starting point. If we keep doing what we do today, where will we be in 10 years time?
Host an event
Why not organise a meeting at work where you talk about how misogyny and other hate and harms show up, even subtly in policy? Pledge below to agree to make this happen.
Create some artwork
Art can be a valuable way to communicate a message. What do you want to say to your community about ending violence including towards women, and why it matters? Pledge to create some artwork below and don’t forget to share on social media and tag If We Act (see icons below).
Donate or Fundraise for a cause
There are many causes close to each of our hearts. These links are organisations that you may wish to donate to or fundraise for. Pledge (vote) below to say you’ll give to charity to help end violence in our communities.
Learn and Share
There are books quoted on this website and resources to help raise awareness of the problems that lead to violence in our communities, and particularly that lead to male violence against women. Pledge (vote) below to set an intention to continue learning and sharing.
Sign a petition
There are many petitions that seek to address the subject of violence in our communities, and in particular for helping to end male violence against women. You could write to your MP or seek out petitions that can help create a safer world.
